- 1
Get your clinic's link or code
Clinics that book on WhatsApp put their link on their website, on Google Maps or on a QR code at reception. The booking code is in that link. Not sure? Ask at reception.
- 2
Message the clinic on WhatsApp
Use your clinic's link, or Book an appointment above and add the code. Then say which doctor you want to see and when suits you.
- 3
Pick a time and confirm
The assistant offers the doctor's free times. Reply yes to book, and you get a booking reference straight away.
In an emergency, don't message
Call an ambulance or go to the nearest casualty department straight away. The WhatsApp assistant books appointments; it can't send help.
What the assistant does
It offers your doctor's free times and books the one you choose. It doesn't give medical advice. To change a booking, or for anything else, message the same chat and it passes you to the clinic's staff.
Your details stay private
The assistant only books for the phone number you message from, and never shows you anyone else's details. A message that your lab results are ready never contains the results.
Questions patients ask
Where do I find my clinic's booking code?
It's in your clinic's WhatsApp booking link, on its website, on Google Maps or on a QR code at reception. If you can't find it, ask at reception.
Does it cost anything?
Messaging the assistant only uses your normal WhatsApp data. Your clinic charges for the visit as usual.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Message the same chat. The assistant passes you to the clinic's staff, who will change it for you.
Am I talking to a doctor?
No. The assistant books appointments only and can't give medical advice. The doctor sees you at the clinic.
Can't find your clinic's link?
Not every clinic books on WhatsApp yet. Ask at reception, or call the clinic as usual.
